Dive
Master Course
US$600.00
To begin your full or part-time career in diving, attain the PADI Divemaster
rating. After successfully completing PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver
training, you'll work closely with a PADI Instructor to expand your diving skills
and knowledge to the professional level. Then in the most fulfilling part of
the course, you'll learn and practice how to supervise activities as well as
how to assist Instructors with student training sessions.
Upon completion of this course PADI Divemasters have
a number of employment options available to them. Local
dive centers, live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at
exotic resort locations are always looking for Divemasters to work for them.
A PADI Divemaster’s work description may include leading PADI Scuba Divers
on guided tours, teaching and certifying PADI Skin Divers, teaching PADI Discover
Snorkeling programs, conducting PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers,
leading certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences, and even teaching
Emergency First Response programs upon successful completion of an Emergency
First Response Instructor course.
During the Divemaster program your diving skills will be tested and perfected
in order for you to competently assist and supervise certain diving activities.
There is also a series of academic lectures for diving related subjects, a session
of water stamina exercises, and a session on how to manage groups in boat dives
and give clear, complete dive briefings. This is a very serious responsibility
and must be learned properly to ensure the divers safety both on the boats and
in the water.
As with all courses here at Sun Divers, the classroom sessions are relaxed, and
the diving is done from our boat, giving you a wide variety of dive sites. Your
professional instructors help you through every step of the course, giving additional
guidance as needed.
